Ginger by Heritage Line, Lan Ha Bay

The 2-day cruise in the tranquil and serene waters of Lan Ha Bay
offers a voyage of harmony & peace with a delightful culinary medley

Halong Bay

The gracious Ginger is Heritage Line’s new vessel cruising the Lan Ha Bay, which is a tranquil part of the famous Halong Bay in Vietnam. Ginger hosts only 12 large suites, all naturally light-flooded and with well-sized balcony. There will be two Regent Suites in the highest room category. Additional four Signature Suites and six Junior Suites complete the suite only vessel. Ginger expresses her elegance with warm timber floors, marble bathrooms and distinguished design themes that interlace the long-lasting traditions of Northern Vietnam paired with contemporary accents.

Ginger’s uniqueness is expressed with a special culinary theme as well as a refreshing lifestyle atmosphere. The terrace deck is a marvelous public area. An almost 360-degree light-flooded restaurant offering live cooking is framed by an outdoor alfresco area. An indoor bar corner invites to relax before or after dinner.

The most exclusive facility is Ginger’s pool on the terrace deck. Surrounded by comfortable shaded sunbeds, the views from the pool are spectacular. So are the views from the spa rooms in the stern of the ship – one VIP spa room comes with steam bath. Combine relaxing spa treatments with dramatic outlooks through floor to ceiling glass windows on the bay.

Launch: Feb 2018  | Capacity: 24 passengers/12 cabins |  Cruise Duration: 2 days 1 night

My husband and I took this cruise a couple of weeks ago, and I can sincerely say that we were blown away. The boat has only 12 staterooms, but they are beautifully decorated in wood and with every amenity, including, in our case, a hot tub. The food was wonderful and exquisitely presented, and the staff was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. My only negative comment would be that the schedule was a little too "tight", but for an overnight experience it is understandable. HaLong bay is truly a unique place, so just cruising through and spending the night was great in and of itself, plus the opportunity to take a short kayak excursion was well worth it - TripAdvisor.

Having spent two nights and three days aboard the Ginger Junk, my husband and I can thoroughly recommend the staff, amenities and wonderful hospitality. The food was to die for and the activities on offer, the right blend of action and relaxation. There were plenty of opportunities to kayak, cycle and swim as well as the more gentle chance to engage in some early morning tai chi sessions. Perhaps the most endearing aspect of this cruise is that it only has 12 guest cabins meaning that the passengers really get to know each other during that time and there was a great sense of camaraderie by the time we left to further our travels. OMG! OMG! OMG! Words cannot express the simply fabulous experience we had onboard the Ginger Cruise. The vessel is elegant, rooms lavish, staff extremely courteous, helpful, fun and professional..... The food?.... THE BEST WE HAVE HAD EVER!!! The bike ride (or take e-car if you don't want to ride) to the Village in the Valley was stunning and the best spot we have seen in Vietnam. We understand why this area is protected. I cannot recommend this trip enough... If I could get all my friends and family on here I would, but for 2 nights.... 1 night is not enough!! Many many thanks for a wonderful experience. Jasmine - TripAdvisor.

Ha Long Bay is not to be missed as the rock formations are incredible. This trip took us to a less touristy place to overnight as I understand Ha Long Bay itself can get a bit crazy and noisy. The Ginger was like staying in a Four Seasons Hotel. The room was just beautiful, with a nice deck to view the rocks. There are plenty of things to do but I wouldn't do the bicycle/village tour again. You just get on the boat, are overwhelmed with how beautiful it is and then are whisked off to this excursion. I'd just stay on the boat with a bottle of champagne and glory in being there! The Tai Chi the next morning was fun as was the kayaking. Staff was great and food delicious! Can't recommend it enough!
