My husband and I spent 3 days on the resort and it was great. Clean rooms, plenty of space, great bathroom too. Our bathroom door was broken and we couldn't lock it, but it wasn't a big problem. Room had TV, kettle, glasses, amenities, towels, 4 pillows and a great cover. Housekeeping was fantastic, super friendly, as well as reception staff. We went to the pool bar on the second evening and the guy was pretty overwhelmed with orders, maybe putting two staff there would be better to service quality. I would recommend the resort to anyone, and as a tip to the owner: the room was pretty standard, nothing told me I was on a resort on the great barrier reef. Maybe different colors, curtains, and a change of style will bring this atmosphere inside the bedroom and value more your location. Aline, Brisbane - TripAdvisor.

Great island resort. Good choice of food from either the resort restaurant or the casual open air pub can cater for gluten free and vegan diets. The general store is very highly priced but it is a island so it is to be expected. Heaps of activities to enjoy I definitely recommend the Fitzroy turtle rehabilitation centre as the tour fees are minimal and go towards funding the centre. The cost of hiring snorkeling gear is quite acceptable or you can bring your own. Outer reef tours are available to book through Cairns Dive Centre directly on the island dive shop so you don't need to worry too much about booking on the mainland. We spent 4 nights and I think it was just right to have a relaxing time with a sample of mostly everything that the island had to offer. Shaun, Australia - TripAdvisor.

We spent 5 nights at the Fitzroy island resort. Our room was self contained very well appointed loads of space a beautiful view overlooking the gardens and beach. The staff were very good and friendly the restaurant was great a small menu but the food was very good. The swim up bar was very handy but it could do with some tlc. The other bar and bistro had great food and beer and a stunning setting. If you just want to get away from it all in a tropical paradise with great beaches and swim with the turtles this is it. It also has some very good but challenging walks. Garry, Melbourne - TripAdvisor.
