Inspired by the lavish lifestyle of Vietnam’s last Emperor, Bảo Đại, Emperor Cruise reflects the royal glamour and cultural heritage of the 1930s with its use of rich woods, fine silks, plush velvets, and adornments plated in gold and precious gemstones. Sailing the remote waters of Bai Tu Long Bay to the east of Halong, the all-inclusive luxury cruise experience is the first of its kind in the region, spoiling guests with unlimited massages and beverages in addition to butler service, full meals, activities, and excursions. Each meal is painstakingly created with the freshest of ingredients, with an emphasis on seafood, although all diets can be catered for with advanced notice. The intimate setting lends itself to only 8 extravagant suites aboard the ship, named after Bảo Đại’s opulent palaces and villas throughout what was once his empire. Therefore, Emperor Cruise lends itself kindly to couples, small groups, and Halong cruise charters looking for exclusivity and privacy.

Cruising with Emperor Cruise in Halong makes our vacation more special and memorable in this wonderful country! We have been to different international cruise-ship, but this one is quiet unique and authentic since the concept of this boat featured Vietnam’s history and culture with very detailed paintings in each corner aboard. Aside from its stunning boat, the team on this boat are excellent specially Chris who speaks fluent English amongst them all. Emperor boat also offered variety of activities inside and outside excursions but of course its you can choose between joining or stay on the main ship to relax. My husband & I together with 2 friends did the 2 day/1 night cruise. From time of arrival at Emperor Cruises reception and until we returned, we were looked after by tour guide Anne. She was a very helpful, and pleasant. It was a fantastic experience travelling around one of the most beautiful sights in the world. FIRST DAY

11.30 – 12.00 Upon arrival at Tuan Chau International Marina, take a refreshment in our lounge before boarding.

12.15 – 12.30 Emperor Cruise sets sails.

13.15 – 14.00 A set lunch will be served at Can Chanh Palace Restaurant. Enjoy delicious Vietnamese food while admiring the grace of the bay.

16.00 – 17.00 The Emperor approaches Tra Bau Area – a natural frontier between Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay for anchorage. Enjoy your free time swimming in the clear turquoise waters of the Bay or exploring its natural beauty by kayak.

17.30 – 18.30 Attend the Sunset Cocktail Party on Sundeck, join in the cooking demonstration and try your skills in the art of traditional Vietnamese cooking in a truly stunning setting.

19.30 – 21.00 Enjoy dinner at Royal Palace Restaurant while marvelling the charm of Halong Bay at night.

21.00 – 22.00 Try your luck with an interesting activity at night – squid fishing.

SECOND DAY (FOR 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS CRUISE ONLY)

06.00 – 06.30 Start the day with a Vovinam exercise in the sunshine morning on Sundeck.

07.30 – 08.30 Extravagant breakfast is served at Can Chanh Palace Restaurant.

09.00 – 11.30 Visit Cua Van Floating Village by bamboo boat rowed by local fishermen to discover their culture and daily life or indulge yourself in the peaceful atmosphere surrounded by beautiful limestone mountains.

12.30 – 13.30 Back to Emperor Cruise for lunch.

15.00 – 16.00 Explore Tien Ong Cave – a living witness to an ancient Vietnamese culture in Halong Bay that existed thousands of years ago with a small archaeological museum displaying the relics of prehistoric people.

16.00 – 17.00 Immerse yourself in a massage treatment or enjoy beautiful artworks of renowned painter Pham Luc.

17.30 – 18.30 Attend the Sunset Cocktail Party on Sundeck, join in the cooking demonstration and try your skills in the art of traditional Vietnamese cooking in a truly stunning setting.

19.30 – 21.00 Enjoy dinner at Royal Palace Restaurant.

21.00 – 22.00 Try your luck with an interesting activity at night – squid fishing.

LAST DAY

06.00 – 06.30 Practice Vovinam on the Sundeck, followed by a light breakfast.

07.15 – 08.30 Discover Me Cung Cave (Cave of Maze) – a spectacular destination with plenty of historical and archaeological values about Ha Long Culture from 10,000 years ago. Guests will be charmed by the magnificent complex structure with stalactites and stalagmites in various shapes and the most diverse ecological system in Halong Bay.

08.30 – 09.15 Return to the ship for check out.

09.30 – 10.30 Enjoy brunch in Can Chanh Palace Restaurant while cruising back to the pier.

11.00 – 11.30 Disembark at Tuan Chau International Marina.

Booking Conditions

PAYMENTS

A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total booking is required within three days from the date of confirmation. The balance payment is due at 45 days prior to embarkation date. For bookings made less than 45 days, full payment is required. Bookings will be cancelled if payments are not received by the due date(s).

Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit cards. In addition to the total payable amount, credit card payments will incur a merchant fee of 2.5% for MasterCard and Visa, 3% for American Express. Any bank charges and merchant fees must be covered by the customer.

CANCELLATIONS

Confirmed bookings must be cancelled by the party leader in writing (by email) and this will only be effective once the written cancellation is confirmed by ATA Holidays. Cancellation by the party leader will be subject to the following cancellation fees from the date the written cancellation is received:

For bookings of up to 03 cabins

• more than 30 days prior to embarkation date - 10% of total cost

• between 16 and 30 days prior to embarkation date - 50% of total cost

• between 8 and 15 days prior to embarkation date - 75% of total cost

• within 7 days prior to embarkation date or “no show” - 100% of total cost.

For bookings of 04 cabins and more

• more than 45 days prior to embarkation date - 10% of total cost

• between 31 and 45 days prior to embarkation date - 50% of total cost

• between 16 and 30 days prior to embarkation date - 75% of total cost

• within 15 days prior to embarkation date or “no show” - 100% of total cost.

AMENDMENTS

Any amendments to confirmed bookings must be requested by the party leader in writing (by email). Whilst we will endeavor to assist, we cannot guarantee that requests will be met. If we can make the requested change, you will be provided with a quote detailing any additional costs, whether incurred due to your amendments, imposed by a Third-Party Travel Provider, or our amendment fees. In all cases, the following amendment fees shall apply:

For bookings of up to 03 cabins

• If amendments are made more than 30 days prior to embarkation date: the first amendment is free of charge. From the second amendment: a charge of A$50 per amendment.

• If amendments are made within 30 days prior to embarkation date: the above standard cancellation fees will apply, and full price will apply to new travel arrangements.

For bookings of 04 cabins and more

• If amendments are made more than 45 days prior to embarkation date: the first amendment is free of charge. From the second amendment: a charge of A$50 per amendment.

• If amendments are made within 45 days prior to embarkation date: the above standard cancellation fees will apply, and full price will apply to new travel arrangements.

We will not charge any cancellation/amendment fees if it is due to a breach by us of any of our obligations or due to our fault; or if the Third-Party Travel Provider amends your booking through no fault of the customer.

COVID-19 RELATED POLICIES

If you can’t travel as a direct result of Covid-19 related matters, ATA Holidays will:

• allow you to change the dates of your holiday; or

• offer you a credit for another holiday, minus any unrecoverable costs imposed by Third-Party Travel Providers; or

• give you a refund, minus any unrecoverable costs imposed by Third-Party Travel Providers.

This policy is only valid if the ability to travel is beyond your control. You are required to provide reasonable documentation confirming that your inability to travel is due to Covid-19 related matters. For cancellations or modifications due to reasons not related to Covid-19, our standard policies as stipulated in our terms and conditions apply.
