The Vietnam Product Manager is a key position with a wide range of responsibilities and duties that impact on all areas of our business. You will be required to manage all of the tasks detailed below and oversee a team capable of ensuring that every aspect of the job is delivered at the highest standard.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Development
Produce an annual plan for product development in consultation with the Director of Sales.
Create, develop, update and constantly improve programs/itineraries.
Train the sales & marketing team on new product; create modules for understanding of destination.
Contracting & Supplier relations
Meet with suppliers to ensure delivery of product.
Work closely with the Contracting department to identify preferred hotels and develop contracting strategy based on source market demands.
Database Management
Ensure all tariff programs and agent brochures are correctly inputted into system.
Run regular reports to understand needs.
Communication with Clients/Agents
Work closely with new agents and key agents to advise and assist on product selections and pricing for websites, brochures and tariffs.
Work closely with sales managers to help provide information and presentations that will win new business accounts/agents.
Represent our company at travel trade shows, seminars, road shows and events when requested.
Managing Product Team
Lead and mentor a small team in Vietnam to deliver on expectations and support Inbound Sales team where needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Tourism, Hospitality, or other related.
Minimum 5 years of experience in tourism, product development, sales, marketing or a similar role.
Excellent product and destination knowledge.
Team player with a positive, dynamic personality.
Passion for the places, people and culture of destination.
SKILLS
Good command of both written and spoken English.
Understanding of the market trends.
Knowledge of Responsible Tourism principles.
High degree of customer orientation.
Strong organization, prioritization & interpersonal skills.
Computer skills (MS Office).
