The Royal Palace is the official residence of the monarch of the country. You need to be decently dressed to visit this place, cover your shoulders and knees. The palace is beautiful and there are a lot of things to see. It gives you a glimpse of Cambodian culture and heritage. The palaces are beautifully carved and in some places you will have to remove your shoes to go inside. There is also a beautiful palace that have silver tiles in place of flooring, it is covered with carpet, but you will be able to see some silver plates as you walk. Leslie, Australia - TripAdvisor.

The ancient ruins of the temple of Angkor Wat are a must see attraction in Cambodia. Located close to the town of Siem Reap are numerous 12 th century constructions which are a delight for tourists. Siem Reap is a fascinating place with much to offer including the food, the people and the sights. Cambodia is cheap for travel and accommodation. The temple of Angkor Wat is a national treasure and something which just has to be seen to appreciate its grandeur and the human effort taken to have it built some 900 years ago. Mark - TripAdvisor.

Do not miss this one. Ta Prohm is very different to lots of the other temples in Angkor and it makes for some amazing pictures. It is 900-1200 years old and it looks very ancient, almost tomb like with trees spouting out from all directions. The jungle and the trees are now part of the temple and it really looks spectacular. It was probably our most memorable temple, not even stating the fact that Tomb Raider had elements of the film here! Probably our favourite one of the lot, and one which I would absolutely recommend including in your itinerary. Alex, Ta Prohm - TripAdvisor.

'Fishing Village' on the Tonle Sap Lake was very interesting. The people live in small houses which are built on bamboo mats and can be moved from one place to the other. They have everything on the lake like shops, school, chicken, duck and crocodile farm. They also have a wedding hall where a wedding was being celebrated. Small children were returning from School and I was surprised to see them boating on their own.This- was a pleasant sight and I was glad we could take it! Shan - TripAdvisor.
